We seek a faculty member for Hiroshima Peace Institute.
The applicant should have significant research achievements in the field of peace and disarmament, and be willing to teach, conduct research, and perform duties for college management. The applicant should also be willing to support international students and to promote international exchange.

Responsibilities in education, research, social contribution, and on-campus duties(
including entrance examination task), especially in developing, managing, and improving the Hiroshima Peace Institute and education program of the Graduate School of Peace Studies, Hiroshima City University, and advising and supporting graduate students' learning.
Journalsim, particularly War, Peace and Journalism
Graduate: (1) “Journalism (particularly War, Peace and Journalism)" and (2) “Disarmament and Peace". In addition, “Peace Studies Special Seminar"in the master program and for Professors teach “Peace Studies Research Seminar" in the doctoral program. All of these courses should be provided in English as well as in Japanese.
Undergraduate: “Peace Studies I, II" and “Peace in the Internationalized Age" (all of these are omnibus courses).
* The third course for the Graduate School of Peace Studies might be added and other teaching duties in undergraduate education courses, such as general education classes and seminar type classes for first and second year students, may be added. Duties related to entrance examinations for undergraduate students of Hiroshima City University as well as graduate students of Graduate School of Peace Studies may also be added.

1. Salary
The starting salary per month is subject to your academic background and working experience. You may also receive the following allowances: semi-annual bonus, regional allowance, commuting allowance, allowance for dependents, housing allowance, and retirement allowance.
2. Working hours
A flextime working system is applied. Basic working hours are 7 hours 45 minutes per day.
3. Holidays
You are entitled to take two days off a week and extra holidays set by the university.
4. Paid holidays, seasonal vacation, and other categories of official leave
a. Twenty paid holidays per year are granted.
b. Other categories of leave may be granted, such as sick leave.
5. Insurance
Social Insurance (Japan Mutual Aid Association of Public School Teachers), Employment Insurance, Insurance under the Local Public Service Accident Compensation Act
