At Institute for Cosmic Ray Research (ICRR) of the University of Tokyo, research is being conducted as part of the University of Tokyo Next-generation Neutrino Science and Multi-messenger Astronomy Organization. We are pleased to announce the recruitment of an associate professor to advance research in multi-messenger astrophysics centered on gravitational waves. The successful candidate will be affiliated with the KAGRA Observatory at ICRR and responsible for conducting research on astrophysics related to gravitational waves and multi-messenger astronomy. Additionally, the person will be responsible for analyzing observational data from KAGRA and will support and manage the joint data analysis efforts in the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration in a leadership role. The person will also play a central role in the installation, management, and operation of computing resources including the data server of KAGRA.
