[Work content and job description]
The successful candidate will be required to develop applied research in numerical analysis, AI (artificial intelligence), Ds (data science) and experimentation in the field of building disaster prevention and structural engineering.
The successful candidate will be required to hold lectures and tutorials of disaster prevention, structural mechanics and structural experimentation in the Department of Architecture and Building Engineering for both undergraduate students in Japanese and graduate students in English and Japanese.
The successful candidate will be required to manage the laboratory and supervise graduate theses for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.
The successful candidate will be required to perform administrative work for the institute, school, department of Architecture and Building Engineering, course of Urban Design and Built Environment, etc.

Annual salary:7 million yen - 9 million yen
Wages description:The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance” pursuant to the Institute’s Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.

Associate Professor who has 5 years of work experience after completing a doctoral degree.
