The College of Global Liberal Arts (GLA) at Ritsumeikan University is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach a course called “LAHU 1201 Introduction to Religion".

[Work content and job description]
[Duties and Responsibilities]
-Teach a “LAHU 1201 Introduction to Religion" course, which is 1 class sessions (lecture and tutorial) per week in Fall Semester 2024. This course is for the first to fourth-year students who are registered in the English-based degree program at GLA. This course introduces students to basic questions and themes in religious studies. Through a study of classical and canonical texts, students will learn different methodologies for understanding religion and interpreting religious beliefs and practices.
-Conduct other duties relevant to teaching, including meeting with students as necessary, grading and giving feedback, writing a syllabus.
-The course timetable may possibly be rearranged in the scale of the overall balance.

・In some cases, some Saturdays and public holidays may be class days or unified make-up days during class hours
