The subject of the research grant is the study of the regulatory power of the university administration. Starting from the study of the constitutional principles governing the organisation and activity of Universities (autonomy, good performance, efficiency, impartiality, functional distinction between political and administrative competences, simplification), the researcher shall carry out an examination of the current practices, directing their research towards: the examination of the different regulatory sources of the administration; the search for critical profiles related to the compliance with the principles that govern the organisation and action of the administration; the study of the most efficient distribution of normative functions within the institution; the means to achieve regulatory simplification. The expected output of the research is the formulation of a set of proposals aiming at ensuring a better exercise of university autonomy.
