Offer Description
The project consists of three main lines of research: analysis of technologies for the recovery and reuse of rainwater in urban areas; analysis of the effectiveness of draining pavements in mitigating the impact of meteorological events on the sewage system and the natural water system; analysis and numerical simulation of detention systems equipped with Real Time Control (RTC) devices. Research activity aimed, overall, at evaluating the mitigation of extreme meteorological events and optimizing drainage management in urban areas. The modeling tools to be used will be open source (SWMM 5.2) suitable for simulating both hydraulic and water quality aspects.
