Offer Description
The main goal of the research activity will consist in:
study, design, and experimental characterization of Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs for power applications, with voltages up to 3.3 kV. SiC is essential for power applications due to its superior properties. Its wider bandgap enables more efficient devices at high voltage and temperature, enhancing reliability. These devices are fundamental components in power circuits and find applications in avionics, energy conversion, and automotive sectors. The research activity will focus on the 3D design of innovative SiC MOSFETs using advanced TCAD simulations. Additionally, the research will involve experimental characterization of nextgeneration devices with a blocking voltage ofup to 3.3 kV.
