The work involves the study and optimization of the observational capabilities of Mini-EUSO a telescope observing the earth in the UV band (270-430mm). The scientific objectives involse the observation of Transient Luminous Events, the search for Ultra- Energy Cosmic rays, the observation of meteors the search for interstellar meteors and Strange Quark Matter, the observation of UV terrestrial nocturnal emissions. The candidate will study the response of the apparatus and contribute to the optimization of its observations with modifications to the on-board acquisition system The changes will first be implemented on the simulator, then on the ground model and finally sent to international Space Station.
