YOUR TEAM

You’d be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where computational scientists (Machine Learning, Computer Vision, image processing, big data and high performance computing), material engineers, chemists, physicists, and archaeologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.

The Center for Cultural Heritage Technology (CCHT) in Venice is coordinated by Arianna Traviglia, who has extensive experience in mediating the inclusion of technology within the study and management of cultural heritage. Research at CCHT focuses on promoting cutting-edge technologies and approaches for analysis, recording and preservation of Cultural Heritage.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be the development of a web-app to support conservation professionals in selecting appropriate green approaches for the preservation, cleaning, and consolidation of cultural artefacts. The described activities are part of the Horizon Europe Go Green Project (GA 101060768).

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

• Master’s  degree in computer science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

• Documented experience in designing and developing of web applications.

• Proficiency with both back-end and front-end coding (e.g. Java, PHP, Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS).

• Experience with frameworks and technologies (e.g. J2EE, Angular, FastAPI).

• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and query design (e.g. MySQL, PostreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle).

• Knowledge of Git versioning system and practices.

• Strong problem-solving attitude.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Experience with mobile app development (e.g. Android, iOS).

• Good communication skills

• Strong problem solving attitude

• Good at time and priority management

• Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
