We seek a Developmental Biologist to study opsin and retinal gene expression in Paracentrotus lividus juveniles. The position involves independent work mainly to carry out experiments of single cell transcriptomics (single cell RNA-Seq), data analysis and write scientific papers for publication. The successful candidate should have solid experience in deuterostome embryogenesis, in handling, breeding and spawning of sea urchins and in molecular biology techniques (cloning, sequencing, in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, etc). Experience in the use of single cell transcriptomics (single cell RNA-Seq) in marine organisms would be an advantage.
