The sector is interested in scientific and didactic-training activities in the field of economic,political, managerial and estimative aspects of the production, transformation, distribution,market and consumption of primary sector products (agriculture, forestry and fishing), ofthe agri-food economy and agro-biotechnologies, their relationships with the othercomponents of the socio-economic and environmental system, the problems of technicalassistance. The sector also deals with the economic aspects of environmental impactassessment, the socio-economic development of rural areas, the dynamics related to theinteraction between city and countryside and related planning, innovation processes on a territorial scale.
