Offer Description

The fellow will perform research activities voted to risk vulnerability and assessment of existing bridge structures, with specific attention for precast concrete systems. The research fellow will also provide active support to the “Fabre” project, collaborating with the local unit and network. She/he will perform analytical, numerical and in-situ investigations, aimed at supporting the mechanical characterization of existing bridge structures located in the Region. She/he will also take care of their structural performance under traffic loading schemes defined in accordance with design standards.

She/he will analyze the effects of possible deterioration/ damage (like for example corrosion in the steel rebars), in terms of structural vulnerability. She/he will develop tools of practical use (like fragility curves) for the analysis and assessment of existing bridge structures.
