BeDimensional S.p.A. – BeD invites applications for one PostDoc position within the European Project – Graphene, MXene and ionic liquid-based sustainable supercapacitor – Greencap
BeDimensional S.p.A. – BeD is looking for one post-doctoral researcher working on the realization of supercapacitors electrodes, based on graphene and other two-dimensional (2d) crystals, their functionalization and the deposition processes on rigid and flexible substrates.
The successful candidate will work in the Innovation Department of BeD, in the framework of the Horizon Europe project, HORIZON-CL4-2022-RESILIENCE-01-24 under signature with the European Commission project number n. 101091572.
He/She will have a strong background in material preparation for electrodes, particularly with 2d crystals, and supercapacitors assembly and testing. He/She will be in charge of the optimization of FLG and stable ready-to-deposit dispersions.
Eligible applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science. Previous experience in material production for energy storage devices in an industrial environment will be considered a plus. Excellent English communication skills, creativity and marked enthusiasm for research are mandatory.
Selected candidates will join the Blue-Sky Research team of BeD located in Genova. Salary and benefits are in line with international standards.

BeD was created in 2016 as a spin-off company of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and targets the production of two-dimensional (2d) crystals by patented technologies and the development of innovative solutions based on 2d crystals for coatings, composites and for energy conversion and storage. BeD R&D department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the production, processing and characterization of 2d-based materials and additionally it takes advantage of the large research infrastructure of IIT.
