Job requirements
- Proven experience as Laboratory Technician or at post-graduate level.
- Documented hands-on experience with the application of cutting-edge methods in molecular biology, cell biology and genomics technologies, including human cell culture, handling human blood material and ideally immune cell culture, tissue processing and histology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry and cell sorting.
- Experience in sample preparation and tracking
- Experience with additional genomic techniques such as functional genomics library preparation (e.g. sc-RNA-seq), transfection and knockdown experiments (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, siRNA, shRNA, antisense and similar technologies).
- Experience with handling large-scale projects and complex laboratory operations.
- Fluency in English – HT is an international research institute.
- Broad technical understanding of the area of genetics, genomics, cell culture, knock-down methodologies and other areas of main responsibilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to lead and gain the assistance and cooperation of others in a team endeavor.
- Ability to build trust through operating with transparency and creating an open and positive environment.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
- Special consideration will be given to candidates who are part of the protected categories list, according to L. 68/99.
