Offer Description

The Department of Psychology of the University of Milano-Bicocca is looking for a research fellow on a project entitled: Analysis of the leader-follower relationship’s influence on recovery among hybrid workers: The role of affective arousal and life-goal agreement.

The research activity to be carried out by the fellow focuses on two aspects: (a) the role of affective arousal generated daily in the leader-follower relationship on recovery through psychological detachment, and (b) the role of leader-follower congruence in the form of agreement/similarity between life goals (intrinsic/extrinsic), on follower recovery, through work motivation, LMX and positive emotions. The ultimate goal is to highlight the differences in these processes between traditional and hybrid work.

The successful candidate will work within the Department of Psychology with the work and organizational psychology research team. The post reports to Dr Andrea Gragnano and will work with other senior and junior team researchers. The fellowship is funded by a PRIN project (Research Projects of National Interest funded by the European Union - Next Generation EU) involving three universities' departments: Milano-Bicocca, Bologna, and Verona. The PRIN project aims to investigate the relationship between hybrid work and employees’ recovery.
