Offer Description

FEMTO PRINTER project aims at integrating femtosecond laser micromachining with monolayers of twodimensional materials, demonstrating the possibility of (i) deterministically writing quantum light sources by the induction of localized strain fields and (ii) couple, with high efficiency, the excitons of these materials with waveguides defined by laser micromachining in transparent substrates. The project will involve the use of electron beam nanolithography techniques for the nanostructuring of optical devices at the Institute's Cleanroom Facility and advanced optical techniques for their characterization at the Photonics Facility. To this end, the activation of 1 professionalizing research grant is required. The grant holder must have experience in the field of 2D materials and their characterization with advanced optical methods.

Specific Requirements

Scientific experience, also with scientific publication, in physics/chemistry laboratories; Eventually experience in exfoliation and transfer of 2D materials, methods for optical characterization, analysis of optical systems in the strong coupling regime and electron lithography applied on 2D materials.
