Offer Description

Development and optimization of advanced instrumentation, in the field of nanoscience, applied to electron spectroscopies for the study and characterization of solids and in particular to PhotoElectron Spectroscopy (PES) (Angular Resolved PES o ARPES, X-ray PES o XPS, Hard X-ray PES o HAXPES, time resolved-ARPES) and to the measurement of spin polarization of photoelectorns

Skills/Qualifications

Master Degree in Physics or Materials Science, and curriculum vitae well matched to the specified research activity: at least three years post-degree experience and research activity in: i) development of advanced instrumentation for the study of electornic properties of solids, in the operation of electron analysers in UHV and of polarimeters for the measurements of spin polarization of photoelectrons, ii) use of electron spectroscopies for the analysis of solids based on the use of both Synchrotron Radiation and laser sources; iii) use and optimization of pulsed laser sources with time resolution <100 fs iv) supporting and assistance of users’ experiments performed at national and international research infrastructure
or possession of the title of Research Doctor or a PhD relevant to the field of experience requested.
