Offer Description
The object of the research is to study the characteristics of academic Italian, with a focus on the relationship between lexical forms and textual functions. The research is based on a corpus of texts and involves the extraction of a list of relevant words and their corresponding functions. The study of this lexicon in a functional key is headed on the one hand to the growth of our knowledge in the field of varieties of contemporary Italian, and on the other hand to the creation of an open access digital dictionary of academic expressions.

Skills/Qualifications
The interview aims to assess the candidates’ skills and expertise on the following subjects:
• Experience in text analysis of contemporary non-literary Italian texts, based on the principles of text linguistics and jargons;
• Knowledge of studies related to academic register, with emphasis on Italian language;
• Assessment of English language proficiency.

Benefits
Each individual research fellowship amounts to 29,050.50 Euros, inclusive of taxes and social charges.
