Project: Performance in Robots Interaction via Mental Imagery (PRIMI – Project: 101120727 - HORIZON-CL4-2022-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02)
Commitment & contract: Collaboration Contract (12 months)
Location: Center for Translational Neurophysiology of Speech and Communication (CTNSC), Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Ferrara - Italy

YOUR TEAM 

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where Engineers, Biologists, Medical doctors and Psychologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.

The Multiscale Brain communication Research line is coordinated by Prof. Luciano Fadiga, who has extensive experience in the neurophysiology of the motor system.

The research focuses on the characterization of healthy and pathological movement via marker-less motion capture.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Record data of healthy and neurological patients affected by abnormal movement control.
  • Analyze movement data via deep neural networks to extract altered individual and group profiles

This open position/research is financed by European Commission within the PRIMI project.

  • A PhD research centered on neuroscience and similar disciplines
  • Documented experience on the motor neurophysiology and motion capture 
  •  A strong publication record
  • The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
  • Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
  • Good command in spoken and written English
