Offer Description

- contract pursuant to Article 24 of Law No. 240/2010 (hereinafter ‘Tenure Track Assistant Professor contract”) for a nonrenewable
six-year term;
- full-time job;
- academic-discipline group (GSD) 14/GSPS-03 - History of political thought and institutions;
- academic-discipline field (SSD) GSPS-03/B - History of Political Institutions;
- competition code (codice concorso) SP-RTT-09/2024.
- specific functions: the successful candidate will be employed at the Political Science Department. The successful candidate
will carry out research and teaching activities consistent with his/her SSD and according to the main research axes of the
University, the Research centers and the Schools on History of Political Institutions. He/She will have to be able to teach in
Italian and/or in English. Teaching, supplementary teaching and student service activities will consist of 350 hours per year,
of which 90 hours per year dedicated to frontal teaching activities. The teaching activity will be carried out as part of the
planning of undergraduate, single-cycle and graduate’s degree courses of the University and consists in carrying out
lectures, exercises and theoretical and practical activities, assistance with exams, in any teaching assignments assigned as an
institutional task, according to the provisions and within the limits of the law. The teaching activity will take place with
reference to the SSD GSPS-03/B - History of Political Institutions. The researcher will carry out both basic and applied
research activities, both on commission and in response to public, regional, national, EU or international calls. The selected
researcher will carry out scientific activity in harmony with the main research fields ("clusters") of the University and the
Department and in any case related to the SSD mentioned above. The Political Science Department expects candidates
facing the following specific functions:
• history of the state in the XIXth and XXth century;
• history of public administrations in the XIXth and XXth century;
• politics, administration and technocracies in the XXth century.
