Offer Description

Gravitational interaction is generally believed to be quantum but a definitive proof is still lacking. There is a great deal of activity aimed at investigating this fundamental issue, even potentially in laboratory experiments. The aim of the project is to apply techniques specific to open quantum systems to study at a theoretical level the evolution of quantum systems when subjected to a gravitational field and to identify effects characterising the quantum nature of gravity.
