Offer Description

Urban societies are experiencing profound transformations due to migration and social changes, fostering cultural and religious pluralism. While the discussion on religious diversity and freedom in Italy is expanding, social research has predominantly concentrated on descriptive and legal aspects, overlooking sociological analyses and interpretations from a social-theoretical perspective. This project adopts a sociological approach to examine key actors and social dynamics related to religious diversity, governance, and inter-religious dialogue, with a specific focus on Florence. Additionally, it aims to explore and compare citizens' attitudes towards religious pluralism in Florence with three other Italian cities.
