Offer Description

The project aims to develop, validate, and apply original models and methods for the design, management, and optimization of material-handling solutions and four-way shuttle-based automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). Validation and application will be conducted through real-world case studies, and the potential development of decision support systems (DSSs) will also be assessed.

The list of activities:
• Literature review on models and methods/algorithms for the design, configuration and management of automated solutions in material handling and warehousing.
• Dashboard design for industrial applications
• Development and validation of robust models, methods and DSS based on optimisation and simulation approaches.
• Application to real case studies
• Multiscenario analyses
