Offer Description
Within the PNRR "Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem" (iNEST), this project focuses on the development of new artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the control and coordination of a heterogeneous group of vehicles consisting of drones and ground vehicles. The project targets a spectrum of critical scenarios, including rescue missions, security and the rationalisation of delivery services to optimise efficiency. For this purpose, the Drone Lab of the University of Trieste Will be used. In the initial phase, the project involves the creation of a complete digital twin (DT) of the experimental facility, which Will serve as a virtual replica for real-time simulation and optimisation of autonomous vehicle behaviour with Al-based approaches. Subsequently, the focus Will shift to integrating these approaches on the real system, to provide new state-of-the-art and physically applicable solutions.
