Offer Description
The research will develop QTL mapping methods to dissect the genetic basis of important traits involved in resistance to drought in cereal species, including maize. The selected researcher is expected to assess diversity in recombinant populations, produce phenotyping information relative to components of drought resistance (including cuticle deposition), and conduct QTL mapping and GWAS. The post requires knowledge in genetics, genomics, and quantitative genetics. The selected candidate will use bioinformatic tools (e.g. bash, R) to manage and analyze genomic data and conduct relevant statistics. This project is carried out within the framework of the "MAGICOAT" project funded under PRIN 2022
