Expression of interest in Statistics, Econometrics, Machine Learning

The purpose of the scouting procedure is to collect expressions of interest in sectors deemed strategic for the development of the School’s research areas and doctoral programs in order to evaluate the opportunity to open call (“concorsi”) as expected according to the Italian law.

IMT School is considering launching a call to fill a position at the level of Full Professor in the field of  Econometrics, Machine Learning.

Ideal candidates should have a track record of internationally recognized research in statistics, econometrics, or machine learning together with a strong background in economics. We are looking for outstanding candidates with an excellent track record of applying advanced statistical methods to analyze economic systems. The position is part of the School's initiative to broaden its activities in data science, develop applications in different domains, and foster its interdisciplinary development.

Candidates must possess an excellent record of publications and a proven record of achievements, a clear interest, and experience in promoting and leading research activities, a specific experience in teaching at the postgraduate level, and supervising doctoral students. All activities at IMT School, including teaching, are carried out in English.
