Offer Description

The project will study male-female health differences with an innovative approach. It will analyze differences in healthy years of life, going beyond average indicators (for example healthy life expectancy) to study the entire distributions of years spent in good health.

The project activities will include:
- analysis of international mortality and health prevalence data;
- application of a mix of statistical and demographic methods;
- elaboration of the results and preparation of related scientific publications.

The following skills are required:
- knowledge of demographic methods and the basics of probability theory;
- documented experience with data handling and analysis of large datasets;
- advanced knowledge of R-language programming;
- academic English proficiency and ability to draft scientific reports and papers.
