Offer Description

This research program aims to study data science and explainability techniques to extract and generate knowledge and understanding from diverse data sources during a global crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The program includes the development of innovative techniques that combine big data, machine learning, knowledge modeling, explainability, transparency, and graph analytics over user-generated data (for example on social networks, apps, gamification scenarios, and open data) with the aim of understanding, from a cognitive, psychological, behavioural, socio-economic and political perspective, the impact of a global crisis on the society.
