Offer Description
The research activity is part of the projects funded by the PNRR, in particular to the evaluation of the use of existing large databases (Big Data) for the assessment, monitoring, and prediction of stress conditions in forest stands that contribute to increased risk of fire and pests attack affecting forest fuel accumulation dynamics. The following activities are planned: (I) literature research for state-of-the-art analysis on available indicators, models, and datasets; (II) implementation and testing of predictive models for stress conditions in forest systems; (III) validation of models based on past events; and (V) dissemination of project results through traditional reporting, web, and social networks.
