Offer Description

The main activity of the project will be the development and study of Derivative-free or zeroth-order methods for the solution of black-box problems. Many industrial and scientific applications can be modeled as black-box optimization problems. Derivative-free methodologies proposed in literature are still not able to efficiently solve the classes of difficult optimization problems arising in the context of the projects.
Therefore, the aim of the research activity is to overcome the limits of classical methods.
