Offer Description

There is a public selection, by titles and interview, for the conferral of n. 1 (one) Professional Allowance for the performance of research activities related to the Scientific Area "Technological, engineering and information sciences" to be held at the Institute of Informatics and Telematics Cosenza Headquarters of the CNR carrying out scientific research under the research program PRIN 2022 PNRR P2022R5LJ7 digital preservation, Linguistic analysis and valorization of historical archive of the former Psychiatric hospital of girifalco (DILIGO) CUP B53D23030290001 for the following topic: Digitization and transcription of the medical records of the historical archives of the asylum of Girifalco and structuring of the information for recovery, the preservation and enhancement of the documentary heritage under the scientific responsibility of Dr Maria Teresa Chiaravalloti.

Skills/Qualifications

 Master’s degree or specialist degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Management Engineering or similar obtained according to the legislation in force prior to D.M. 509/99, or Master’s Degree in Computer Science for the Humanities or Management and Preservation of Digital Documents (Classes 24/S and LM-43), Archiving and Librarianship (5/S and LM-5), Information Engineering (Class L-08, Class 9), Informatics (Classes 23/S, LM-18 and LM-66), Computer Engineering (Classes 35/S and LM-32),  Management Engineering (Classes 34/S and LM-31), Techniques and methods for the information society (Classes 100/S and LM-91), and professional curriculum suitable for carrying out research activities;

Specific Requirements

knowledge of the fundamental principles of classical archival and computer science and of industry regulations;
- knowledge of classification and indexing theories and techniques;
- knowledge of the legislation on the protection of documents of significant historical interest, with particular attention to the aspects of protection of privacy related to the health domain;
- knowledge of XML, RDF, OWL, SKOS standards;
- knowledge of software for image acquisition and automated transcription, with particular attention to those dedicated to the processing of historical documents;

d)  knowledge of English;
e)  knowledge of Italian (only for foreign candidates).
