Attitude control architectures for high performance Earth Environment remote sensing satellites...

Updated: over 2 years ago
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 20 Oct 2021

Terrestrial ecosystem, biodiversity preservation, and the climate change impact reduction ask for our Planet global and local monitoring, with reduced latencies and proper resolution; continuity and timeliness in accessing high-risk zones for natural disasters, such as fires, earthquakes, hydrogeological instabilities, polluting transport infrastructures such as gas / oil pipelines and the whole biosphere are mandatory. Satellite remote sensing fully satisfies these requirements if equipped with advanced attitude control architectures with high manoeuvrability, responsiveness, pointing stability and agility, even under strong disturbances. The numerical / experimental activities will implement on-board SW/HW architectures to gain attitude control performance superior to the state of the art, and include an experimental infrastructure development useful for educational and research activities on advanced attitude dynamics and control.
