Assistant Professor in Public economics

The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Trento invites candidates active in Public economics to apply for a position at the Assistant Professor level. The post is for a three-year period. The annual gross salary is about 45.000 Euros. The area of research and teaching is Public economics.
Requested research duties: the candidate must have a solid economic background demonstrated through publications in international journals with double referees and on issues related to the public economy with specific reference to the study of micro-micro behaviors in the field of choices relating to the public economy. These issues must also be framed in the use of empirical tools and methodologies of experimental economics and / or with other quantitative approaches.
Requested teaching duties: the teaching activity, as part of the teaching program of the Department of Economics and Management, will include delivering courses in the subject area covered by the announcement. These courses will be held in the three-year degree, master, and doctoral programs, also in English language, pertaining to the Department and any teaching assignments assigned as an institutional task, in accordance with the provisions of the law. The overall annual hours of work for research, teaching and office hours for students within the areas indicated above equal 1,500 hours per year. The teaching activities of the contract holder are defined by the Department Council when it plans the teaching programme, according to the University regulations.
Foreign language required: excellent level of English
Knowledge of Italian: level adequate to carry out the assigned teaching load (the researcher is required to teach in Italian)
