Offer Description

The research activity focuses on the application of Nature Based Solutions (NbSs) and the analysis of their efficiency for sustainable management of major herbaceous crops, both in terms of yield and soil fertility. The researcher will need to describe the main NbSs applied in different pedoclimatic contexts and analyze their impact in terms of yield (productivity) and reduction of soil degradation, also in relation to key indicators (organic matter, bulk density, salinity, etc.).Basic skills in GIS usage, crop modeling, and statistical data analysis are required. The researcher will be responsible for setting up experimental fields, monitoring, and conducting measurement campaigns to analyze the relationships between the environment, agronomic management, and productivity in a context of sustainable production.
Research activities include the drafting of technical reports and scientific publications. Knowledge of the Italian language (native) and a driver's license are required.
