Offer Description

The position is permanent. The scientific field, for research and teaching, is Structural Engineering.

Requested research duties: in the context of theories and techniques aimed both at the structural conception and design of new buildings, and at the design check and structural rehabilitation of existing ones. This includes, in particular, the analysis of the behaviour of steel structures, including those resistant to fire, the analysis and reinforcement of masonry structures and, finally, assessments of structural and infrastructural reliability and safety.
Requested teaching duties: aimed at teaching undergraduate, graduate and PhD courses within the areas belonging to the scientific sector ICAR/09 (Structural Engineering)

Applications are welcome from candidates with the following qualifications: a) candidates who have passed the Italian National Academic Qualifications Procedure (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as per Article 16 of Law no. 240/2010 for the subject sector 08/B3 or one of the subject sectors included in the same wider subject sector 08/B and for the academic level that is the subject of the selection procedure; b) candidates who got the qualification "idoneità" according to “Legge 210/1998” for the position corresponding to Full Professor, provided the qualification is still valid; c) candidates already employed as Full Professor in other universities; d) scholars who are permanently employed in research or teaching activities at university level outside Italy in positions which are equivalent to Full Professor (according to ministerial equivalences).
