Offer Description

The position is permanent. The scientific field, for research and teaching, is Informatics.

Requested research duties: it will involve activities within the research areas characterizing the disciplinary scientific sector ING-INF/05 (Information Processing Systems), particularly focusing on research topics of interest to the department which include artificial intelligence, databases, software engineering, and cybersecurity.

Requested teaching duties: in accordance with the annual educational program, the teaching commitment will involve delivering courses within the disciplinary area specified in the announcement for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs offered by the department. The teaching commitment includes courses in English within the undergraduate program in Computer Science. The entire teaching load could be assigned to courses conducted in English.

Applications are welcome from candidates with the following qualifications: a) candidates who have passed the Italian National Academic Qualifications Procedure (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as per Article 16 of Law no. 240/2010 for the subject sector 09/H1 or one of the subject sectors included in the same wider subject sector ING-INF/05 and for the academic level that is the subject of the selection procedure; b) candidates who got the qualification "idoneità" according to “Legge 210/1998” for the position corresponding to Associate Professor, provided the qualification is still valid; c) candidates already employed as Associate Professor in other universities; d) scholars who are permanently employed in research or teaching activities at university level outside Italy in positions which are equivalent to "Associate Professor" (according to ministerial equivalences D.M. 456/2023).
