Postdoc/Research associate in translation regulation of hematopoiesis

Updated: about 1 year ago
Deadline: 19 Mar 2023

We are recruiting experienced and motivated postdocs or research associates for full time positions, funded by the European Research Council (ERC). We are seeking enthusiastic scientists with an interest in molecular biology and/or blood physiology (e.g. normal hematopoiesis, clonal hematopoiesis and leukemia development). Individuals with experience in NGS techniques, molecular biology, or stem cell research are encouraged to apply.

We are recruiting for two projects:

(1) Studying molecular mechanisms for cell-type-specific translation during normal hematopoiesis and during leukemia development. This project will combine in-depth molecular analyses of cell-type-specific translation with in-vivo research of its physiological role in regulating hematopoietic stem cell function using bone marrow transplantations and xenograft models.

(2) Developing new single cell methodologies to redefine cell-type-specific ribosomes. In this project we aim to develop new tools to study the ribosome from a new perspective and to gain new insights into the role it plays during cell transformation and acquisition of chemotherapy resistance.

We are a young and enthusiastic lab (https://www.nachmanilab.com ). We are committed to creating a respectful, supportive, and stimulatory research environment. Candidates are welcome to send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, list of publications and references contacts to Dr. Daphna Nachmani ([email protected] ).
