Postdoctoral research position to work with Oren Ben-Bassat at the University of Haifa. This is a one year position with possibility of a second year which will only be known later. Reasonable salary. Starting date should be between Oct. 1, 2021 and March 1, 2022 with a preference for an earlier starting date. Topics:

Banach algebraic geometry, algebraic/categorical approaches to C*-algebras (Adam Dor-On also works on this at the same university), algebraic/categorical approaches to smooth and analytic geometry. Applications to arithmetic geometry.

Derived Analytic Geometry.

Derived Algebraic Geometry and Shifted Symplectic Geometry, work of Tony Pantev (PTVV), Minhyong Kim, Ginzburg/Rozenblyum, Giaotto and others. Moduli stacks of bundles on surfaces and 3-folds.

Arithmetic topology (knots / primes analogy). Moduli stacks of representations of fundamental groups.

Homotopy Theory of Normed Sets (work of Durov)

Moduli stacks of Galois representations.

Non-commutative geometry in Kontsevich's approach. Grothendieck topologies in this setting and topos theory. New notions of spectra of Banach rings. Analytic geometry over the integers.

Familiarity with lower/higher category theory important. The University of Haifa has a strong group in homotopy theory and higher category theory including Hinich, Blanc, and Chorny.
