Ph.D. in Stem Cells and Neurodegeneration Research

Updated: over 2 years ago
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 10 Dec 2021

Mansour lab has a fully-funded open position for Ph.D. and/or postdoc students in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine starting Jan 2022 or upon agreement with the chosen candidate. We are a young, ERC funded, research group and are seeking someone that is highly motivated, dedicated, and talented to join us.

The Mansour Lab uses stem-cells-based technologies to build human tissue models and harness these models to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurological disorders. The current research projects are focuses on using brain organoids and chimeric models to study neurodegenerative disorders. We address these questions by combining iPSCs technology, imaging, genomic tools, molecular cellular, and computational biology (See recent publications Mansour et al. Seminars in Cell & Developmental Biology 2020, Mansour et al Nat. Biotch. 2018, Mansour et al. Nature 2012, Geual et al. Science 2015)

The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC).
