The Purpose of the Role

To assist in the management and timetabling of teaching space across the various teaching sites, to monitor student attendance at teaching events and clinical placements and to co-ordinate programme evaluation across the 5-year undergraduate programme. The post is primarily based in the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute, Pearse Street, Dublin 2 but the successful candidate will be required to work across the St James and Tallaght University Hospital sites from time to time.

The School has a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes, with approximately 1000 staff (employed/affiliated) and 2000 students. This role is part of a team of administrative staff who provide services to management, staff and students in relation to the undergraduate Medicine programme. The postholder reports to the Programme Manager and although they will work as part of the administrative team, they will have responsibility for coordinating, timetabling and overseeing operations in relation to student attendance and module evaluation.  

Post Status: Specific Purpose Contract - Maternity Leave Cover

This is a specific purpose contract to fill an Administrative 3 vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorized leave. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. If the postholder does not return to work the post will be filled through open competition. 

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week


Salary:

This appointment will be made on the Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€42,590 - €53,790 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
