Technician in Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Technician in Pharmacy.  The successful candidate will provide specific technical support to the Pharmaceutical Sciences BSc course and assist with wider research support within the School of Pharmacy.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. ONC/OND and/or NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject (or equivalent)
  • 2 years recent relevant experience in a laboratory environment to include:
  • 1 year practical experience in a teaching laboratory.
  • Experience working with a range of general lab equipment such a pH meters, Balances, Water baths.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols and associated documentation.
  • Knowledge of waste disposal procedures
  • Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment and processes.
  • Good understanding of relevant regulations and procedures including health and safety requirements
