Technical Officer

We are seeking to appoint three Technical Officers to join our team of 12 technical staff in the Department of Biology at Maynooth University (https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/biology). The roles will be student facing and provide support for teaching across a number of degree programme. The roles involve preparing and managing undergraduate practical programmes whilst also providing technical support in departmental research, core facilities, workshop, stores and outreach activities.

All three appointments are permanent. Two of posts will be based on a full-time working hours arrangement and one of the posts is part time, term time.

Technical Officer (2022) Salary Scale:                                          €40,282 – €53,311 (7 points) per annum (pro rata).

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
