Teaching Technician in Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Teaching Technician in Pharmacy. The successful candidate will provide a technical support service to academic and research staff and students.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. 5 GCSE’s A-C and/or NVQ level 2 in relevant subject (or equivalent)
  • 1 year’s relevant experience to include:
  • At least 6 months working in a teaching laboratory, or in a role involving preparation/dispensing of medicines.
  • Previous experience in secondary/tertiary education practical classes.
  • Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment and processes.
  • Experience of using/maintaining general laboratory equipment.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and procedures including Health and Safety requirements to include COSHH or equivalent.
  • Basic IT competency.
