Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Statistics and Data specialist within Admissions.

The Statistics and Data specialist will be a member of UCD Registry which comprises of the Office of the Director of Registry, Customer & Curriculum Operations, Fees and Data Management, Admissions, Assessment and Student Recruitment. Registry is evolving structurally in line with the University's overall strategic developments and is a dynamic, flexible and responsive unit.

Admissions

This post is in Admissions which is a team of 10 people responsible for,

  • Maintaining and disseminating Admissions data and statistics to inform and enable decision making, to support recruitment activities and to provide trend analysis in student choice, progression, and retention.
  • Providing information, guidance, and support to prospective students
  • Managing and processing Undergraduate and Graduate applications including Direct, Transfers, Progression, Readmission, Mature, Access, QQI-FET, HEAR, DARE, Scholarships, EU/Non-EU
  • Developing, approving, reviewing, and communicating the University's entry criteria and selection mechanisms (in conjunction with Governing Boards, Academic Council, and national bodies such as CAO, NUI and IUA)
  • Delivering processes such as Student Vetting, Document Qualification checks, Application Auditing and Student Admissions tracking

Statistics and Data specialist

The key focus of this job will be managing applicant data, ensuring data integrity, Tableau report writing and producing statistics (regular statistical reports and in response to one-off requests). As UCD is undergoing an operation and services transformation, the post-holder will be involved in the digital element of this on behalf of Admissions.

The post-holder will also be involved with other areas in the Admissions Process and may be requested to assist as necessary in the wider Registry team and contribute to the process of continuous improvement in line with Registry and University vision and values.

95 Administrative Officer Ii_2010 (0173_X) Salary: 47,109 - 60,335 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
