UCC wishes to appoint an experienced administrator to the role of the Senior Systems Administrator.  Reporting to the CUBS Technical Operations Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of IT services or nominee, the Senior Systems Administrator will play a leading role in the CUBS Technical Operations Team to deliver and support our mission critical services within Cork University Business School. The successful candidate will define and drive the roadmap of a suite of services while ensuring that excellent customer service to our students and staff is always at the heart of our projects and operations.

The Senior Systems Administrator will take ownership and responsibility for specific aspects of the services, they will lead, enhance, and adapt them as technology and/or user requirements evolve, they will communicate service development and progress to the wider IT team and to stakeholders.

Specifically, the Senior Systems Administrator will be critical to maintaining the Schools IT infrastructure. The role is an on-site role, responsible for installation and maintenance of device endpoints, software and supporting classes, student labs and project work and general supervision of all IT activities across the School, working as part of an embedded collaborative arrangement that is in place between UCC’s IT Services & CUBS ensuring appropriate usage of IT facilitates and adherence with UCC policy and procedures.  This role will support the significant and highly specialised IT requirements for delivery of software development environments associated with key programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level within the department of Business Information Systems

Appointment may be made on the Admin III (Grade 6) Salary Scale: €55,250 - €65,965 (Scale B) / €52,606 - €62,771 (Scale A)   

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
