The Role
We are seeking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Post-Doctoral Researcher in management, science or engineering to work on emerging business models and ecosystems associated with communication neutral host networks.
This role will lead efforts in the study of the optimization of communication neutral host network for: economics; social good (access); and carbon footprint. The research will identify the technical, economic, political and cultural lock-ins that currently exist, and offer guidance in overcoming these lock-ins. The work will be in close collaboration with complementary research being carried out in the University’s Department of Electronic Engineering.
The Post-Doctoral Researcher will work for CONNECT, the SFI Research Centre for Future Networks, in the Innovation Value Institute / Maynooth University School of Business, in a team of researchers under the supervision of Dr Niall Connolly. The environment is highly supportive. While each researcher works with a specific industrial partner / research centre to an agreed set of research deliverables, synergies between the various strands of research are used for everyone’s benefit.
