Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Research Scientist within School of Agriculture and Food Science / SAFS
The ContinuFOR project - a DAFM-funded research collaboration between UCD, Maynooth University and Teagasc - aims to identify suitable approaches to transforming forests that are managed using the clearfell silvicultural system to continuous cover forestry (CCF). Among the aims of the project is to evaluate and calibrate existing growth models for use in modelling growth and carbon in CCF stands
The project has an opening for a researcher with a background in quantitative computer-based modelling.
The successful applicant will be based in UCD, but will fully integrate into this multi-disciplinary, inter-institutional, collaborative research project.
Fixed salary: €39,130 per annum
