Applications are invited for a fully funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow position to work on the role of microglia in traumatic brain injury (TBI) and chronic neurodegeneration as part of the Neurotrauma & Neuroimmunology Lab in the School of Biochemistry and Immunology, Trinity College Dublin. The position will focus on advancing the understanding of microglial phenotypes and function in chronic TBI, and the role of phagocytic NADPH oxidase in driving microglial-associated neuropathology and neurological impairments. We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised individual with a strong interest in neuroscience and neuroimmunology. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a related sphere of neuroscience or innate immunology, and we are particularly interested in applicants with experience in experimental models of TBI and/or neurodegeneration, as well as cognitive and behavioural neuroscience.
