It is an exciting time to be joining the growing School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Trinity College Dublin which is the highest ranked school in the College and ranked 25th in the world. This is a HCI funded post, which aims to grow teaching programmes, research, and academic administration activities in the area of medicine quality and innovation. You will be joining Bernard Naughton’s research group which is interested in three themes:

  • Leadership & Innovation: Reducing barriers to innovation and creating responsible pharma leaders and innovators of the future.
  • Quality & Access: Improving pharmaceutical manufacturing and improving understanding and management of global medicine access and quality.
  • Emerging Technology & Impact: Being at the cutting edge of emerging technology research, education, and impact within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
  • This Research assistant will perform and publish the following small projects which explore

  • Emerging technological trends in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality
  • Challenges facing medicine quality professionals
  • Impact assessment of the MSc in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology programme.
  • The successful applicant will also support research and publishing aligned with the MSc. This will include providing research administration support to MSc students to help them to publish their projects. This role will also involve the pursuit of the successful candidates own self-directed research in the field of medicine quality and innovation.. Methods used throughout the research programme may include literature searching, Delphi consensus methodology, qualitative research, and basic quantitative research.

    The successful candidate will be supported in this post by Asst. Professor Bernard Naughton and Professor Anne Marie Healy. The post aims to give the successful candidate experience in teaching activities, research and academic administration. This position aims to prepare the successful candidate for a PhD or an academic position at the intersection of management and healthcare.
