Position Summary

UCC’s Centre for European Integration has won a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence with a research programme on “EU Integration and Citizens’ Rights”, for which it seeks to employ a research assistant as a part time post as soon as possible. The post is available for 32 months at 0.5 full time. It comprises research support, especially an initial literature review for updating the project concept (written in May 2021), as well as support for a series of nine events, partially online and partially hybrid. This is an opportunity for a person having first research experience in European studies, who is interested in interdisciplinary work between socio-legal studies, political science, economics and sociology. The post requires some organisational skills, excellent time-management, research skills and the ability to communicate and work with a range of people. The post reports to the PI, but the RA would be expected to communicate with all 10 academics (including one communication manager) contributing to the project, as well as with speakers and other cooperation partners.
